If you're about to join the club, this is what you'll want to skim first. Still have questions? Shoot us a message in the group chat.

Getting Started

What is the Wake Club?+
A Miami-based wakesurfing membership club running 13–16 sessions per month on a Nautique G25 (and a second boat when demand calls for it). One membership, one weekly schedule, and a community of riders.
Do I need experience to join?+
No. Beginners stand up on their first session if they listen to the coach. We coach from never-ever to advanced, all in the same crew.
Where do sessions launch from?+
Miami Beach Marina · Dock A · 300 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Show up 10–15 minutes before the start time.
How long is a session?+
Each session block runs roughly 3 hours on the water. Every rider gets ~20 minutes of personal surf time (one 20-minute set or two 10-minute sets).

Memberships & Pricing

What are the membership tiers?+
Basic (free, $135/session), Silver ($295 for 3 credits valid 31 days), Gold ($500 for 6 credits valid 31 days), and Platinum ($1,350 for unlimited sessions during one 31-day paid period). Higher tiers get queue priority.
How long does Platinum last?+
Platinum is a one-time 31-day paid period. During those 31 days, you get unlimited Wake Club session credits, #1 queue priority, and 3 free guest passes. It does not auto-renew, and unused benefits do not roll over.
How do credits work?+
When you buy a Silver or Gold pack, credits land in your account for 31 days. A credit is consumed only when you get a confirmed spot — not while you're still in the queue.
What happens when I run out of credits?+
You can keep RSVPing and pay $135 per extra session, or buy another 31-day pack. Platinum is unlimited only while the paid 31-day period is active.
Do credits expire?+
Paid-tier credits and guest passes expire 31 days after purchase. Unused benefits do not roll over; buying again starts a fresh 31-day period.

RSVP, Queue & Second Boat

When do RSVPs go live?+
Polls open every Monday at 5 PM Miami time for that week's sessions.
How does the queue work?+
Spots fill in tier order: Platinum → Gold → Silver → Basic. Within the same tier, it's first-come-first-surf by RSVP time. The first 8 confirmed riders lock in immediately and credits are used. The next 8 sit on standby with no credit charged yet.
What is the second boat?+
When a session hits 13+ active RSVPs, our admin can enable a second boat. Standby riders get promoted to confirmed, credits are charged, and we notify everyone immediately.
What's the minimum to run a session?+
A session needs at least 5 confirmed riders to run. If we don't hit 5 within 24 hours of start, the session is cancelled and credits are restored.

Cancellations & Weather

Can I cancel my RSVP?+
Yes. Cancel more than 24 hours before the session and your credit is restored. Inside 24 hours, your credit is forfeited (so we can chase a replacement).
What happens if the weather cancels a session?+
If we cancel for weather, every used credit is automatically restored and we notify everyone by text and email.
What if I just don't show up?+
A no-show inside the 24-hour window forfeits the credit. The boat leaves on time — please be there 10–15 minutes early.

Guests

Can I bring a guest?+
Yes. Silver gets 1 guest pass per 31-day pack at 50% off. Gold gets 1 free guest pass per 31-day pack. Platinum gets 3 free guest passes per 31-day pack.
Can a Basic member bring a guest?+
Yes — guests pay the full $135 session rate. Guest passes are a perk of paid tiers.
Do guests need a waiver?+
Yes. Every guest signs the WakeXscape waiver before stepping on the boat. The inviting member is responsible for their guest.

Sessions, Schedule & Logistics

What's the weekly schedule?+
Guaranteed 4–6 sessions per week: Wake Wednesday Sunrise (6 AM), Wake Wednesday Sunset (5 PM), Freedom Friday Sunset (5 PM), Saturday Shred Morning (10 AM), and Sunday Funday Sunrise (7 AM) + Sunset (4:30 PM). Times may shift slightly for weather, season, and availability.
How many people are on the boat?+
Most sessions are 8 riders per boat and up to 16 riders with two boats. Sunday Funday Sunset is 10 riders per boat and up to 20 riders with two boats.
What should I bring?+
Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, a hat, and water. We provide all surf and skim boards, vests, and ropes. Bring your own wakeboard, skis, or hydrofoil if you want.
Do you provide photos and videos?+
Yes — we capture clips and photos when conditions allow and share them with the group after the session.

Notifications & Communication

How do I know if I'm confirmed or on standby?+
We send an automatic message right after RSVPs close: 'You're in' or 'You're on standby.' If a second boat unlocks, you'll get another message the moment you move into a confirmed spot.
Will I get session reminders?+
Yes — 24 hours before your session you'll get a reminder with time, location, and what to bring.
Where's the group chat?+
On WhatsApp. Use the floating "Join the Group Chat" button on the site — it's where we drop session updates, last-minute openings, and post-session photos.

Account, Waivers & Payments

How do payments work?+
All payments run through Stripe. Memberships are a one-time 31-day pack purchase (Silver, Gold, Platinum) with no auto-renew. Extra sessions beyond your active credits are charged as one-offs at $135.
When do I sign the waiver?+
At account creation, before your first session. Every rider — members and guests — signs the WakeXscape waiver.
Can I get a refund?+
Membership packs are non-refundable after use. Paid-tier credits and guest passes are valid for 31 days from purchase, and weather cancels always restore eligible credits. Reach out via the contact page for special situations.
